Agnes Wanjiru Mwangi is a Kenyan technology entrepreneur and the founder of Atlantis Telkoms Ltd, established in 2011. Her journey began in the ICT industry, where hands-on technical work and project implementation gave her practical insight into technology, business operations, and the challenges organisations face when adopting and managing technology.
Under her leadership, Atlantis Telkoms developed its work across information and communication technology, security, and telecommunications, building a foundation of practical technical experience and service delivery. Over time, Agnes developed a broader vision that extends beyond implementing existing technologies towards exploring and developing innovative solutions that respond to Africa’s unique needs and opportunities.
Through Atlantis Nodes, she is advancing this vision by supporting the exploration of connected systems, smart agriculture, and applied technology innovation. As Co-Founder of AgriNode, she is also associated with the development of technology-driven agricultural solutions designed to help farmers access useful information, monitor farm conditions, and make more informed decisions.
Agnes believes Africa should be more than a consumer of technology. She envisions a future where African innovators actively imagine, develop, and build solutions that address real-world challenges. Her leadership reflects a commitment to practical innovation, continuous development, and creating technology that delivers meaningful value to businesses, farmers, and communities.
“ Africa should not only use technology; we should imagine it, develop it, and build solutions that transform our communities and shape our future.”
